Times got you in a funk, Bunky? (to coin a phrase) Studies reveal that one of the best ways to feel better, cope with challenges and improve outlook is to help others. New Danville would appreciate your help!

We are looking for volunteers for our upscale home décor resale store, Jazzy Junque, as well as to serve on committees for our main fundraising events, Play a Round for the Wranglers golf tournament and Spring Thing. Spring Thing

New Danville’s premier fundraising event, Spring Thing was held on April 22.

In the media:  Hello Woodlands, Woodlands Online, RFD TV, and more!

Photographs from the day

If you attended our Spring Thing last month you likely met Dave Clements, a volunteer since the beginning of ND. Dave is a professional photographer and also manages his own non-profit that helps children with a rare disorder called Rett syndrome. If you want to learn more, visit dwcphotography.com and www.Raisingahand.com

All indications are that the 2022 Spring Thing was our most successful such event. That achievement would not be possible without the support of our generous sponsors and supporters.

Fundraising Factoid
Field trips are some of the favorite activities for Wranglers. They go out in the community, visit cool venues and have new experiences. Trips to places like NASA, exhibitions, Lone Star Flight Museum, Moody Gardens, sailing and more become highlights of their year. These trips are only possible because of contributions from organizations or individuals. Please consider sponsoring a field trip for $1,500 or make a contribution of any amount toward field trip expenses. Simply note “field trips” with your online gift at https://newdanville.networkforgood.com/ or in your cover letter if submitting a check.

Wranglers line up to fill their water bottles at the new water-and-ice machine located in the Classroom Building. A new water station has been placed in the ETC Building, too, for the Wrangler IIs. The purchase of both machines was made possible by a grant from Montgomery County Community Foundation.  Thank you, Montgomery County Community Foundation.

The Montgomery County Community Foundation continued its generous support of New Danville with a recent contribution of $5,000 to pay for an ice and water station in the Classroom Building and a water station in the ETC building. “Hydration is very important for everyone, but particularly so for adults with IDD,” said Eva Aguirre, President and CEO of New Danville. “We appreciate the Foundation’s recognition of how important accessible, easy-to-use hydration stations are to the health and wellness of our Wranglers.”
