Our Mission
New Danville provides adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities an opportunity to live enriched and purposeful lives.
Our Vision
Adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities will have the opportunity to live, learn, work and grow in communities of their choice.
The idea for New Danville originated with the mother of a high functioning, young adult who had a strong desire to live independently but still required some assistance. It was through this young man’s desire to live a fuller life that the concept of a community where intellectually and/or developmentally disabled men and women can live, learn, work, and be with their friends, both disabled and non-disabled, while providing a safe and caring environment encouraging independence and growth was born.
By developing a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) charitable and educational organization and collaborating with like-thinking individuals and groups, this one-of-a-kind community named New Danville became a reality.
